Fights, debuts, baby boom and marital turmoil, there was a variety of news from the TV industry this week. Of course, we got the joyous khabar of Shabbir Ahluwalia and Kanchi Kaul becoming parents to a baby boy second time round along with the unfortunate alleged spat between co-actors Anas Rashid and Kunal Khosla. Here is a quick lowdown.
Newsmakers
It was baby boom for Shabbir Ahluwalia and Kanchi Kaul for the second time round as the lovely gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday. They have a son, Azai who was born in 2014.
All was not well on the sets of Diya Aur Baati Hum as reports of a spat between lead actor Anas Rashid and Kunal Khosla did the rounds. Bhabho (Neelu Vaghela) played peacemaker and things were back to normal.
Shakti Arora was finalized as the anchor for the upcoming show, Mann Mein Hai Vishwass, which was hosted by Nitesh Bharadwaj in 2008.
Kapil Sharma’s new show, Comedy Nights Style is reportedly all set to air on Sony TV from March. The first celebrity guest is reportedly none other than superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Gaurav Gera’s Chutki Shopkeepaa Aur Woh is going off air from Big Magic. They have decided to take a break.
Producer Vikas Gupta made a singing debut with the video for Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya titled Parindey Ka Pagalpan. Featuring Niti Taylor and Siddharth Gupta, it got a fabulous response.

Actress Pooja Sharma and director Pushkar Pandit are all set to tie the knot on February 22.
There are reports that Aarya Babbar is getting married to girlfriend Jasmine Puri on February 21. However, the actor said on Twitter that the date was a wrong one.
Reports came in that actor Lavanya Bharadwaj got hitched to his Indonesian lawyer girlfriend, Dede Frescilla recently in a hush-hush ceremony.

Ananya Agarwal has been roped in to play the younger version of athlete Durga in Star Plus’ upcoming show of the same name.
Charvi Saraf who was last seen on Sadda Haq has been roped in to play Namik Paul’s fiancé on Ek Duje Ka Vaaste.
Roop Durgapal is going to make an entry as Kavya, Lakshya’s (Namish Taneja) ex-girlfriend on Swaragini.
In an unfortunate development, Gulki Joshi has been replaced by Sreejita De on the romance drama Piya Rangrezz.
The new team of Udaan is getting bigger. After Paras Arora, Meera Deosthale, Vijayendra Kumeria, actor Varun Sharma is all set to enter the show.
Ankit Bathla known as Dhruv from Thapki Pyar Ki is all set to anchor a comedy show, Hasi Ka Pitara.

In Swaragini, the wedding drama was at its peak. Swara (Helly Shah) escaped from jail to prevent Sanskaar’s (Varun Kapoor) marriage with Kavita (Nikita Sharma).
In Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, the story focused on Ishita’s legal woes. We saw how Raman (Karan Patel) sent her a romantic message on Valentine’s Day. She is out of jail but a death penalty is awaiting her in the near future.
