It pretty much looks like that!

We earlier informed you about the high voltage drama that was to take place on Colors’ popular daily soap, Swaragini. So Lakshya (Namish Taneja) figures that there is something up with Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar) as he does not buy the excuse she gave for not stopping Swara (Heli Shah) and Sanskar’s (Varun Kapoor) wedding. He then plots a whole drama to which involved his fake death. Their plan works and Ragini confesses her crime on cam before she tries to kill Swara. Lakshya then asks his and Ragini’s family to come down to their living room where he runs the CD of Ragini’s confession.

But now that the whole truth is out, obviously, everyone is feeling sorry about not trusting Swara and putting their faith in a person like Ragini. Even before her in-laws can throw her out, her father has declared that she can come back home, but she’ll never enjoy the love and respect that she did before. He falls to Swara’s feet asking for forgiveness and then begs his wife to give him another chance to be a good husband a good father.

Even their grandmother, who so far had always hated Swara and her mother, now apologises to them and looks down upon Ragini.

In the upcoming episode we will see Durga Prasad declaring that after everything that Ragini has done, there is no way Lakshya would accept her back in his life so it would be best for her to go away from the whole family. He asks his wife, Anapurna to take Ragini to her room and send her back safely the next morning. And from what her father has declared there is nothing, but a place to live for Ragini in her own house as well. Looks like all the doors are closed for her now. Wonder what step will she take next!

The Week 40 of BARC Ratings had Swaragini rubbing shoulders with the highly-popular family drama, Saath Nibhana Saathiya at the top spot. Ragini’s confession in a high-voltage and emotional sequence kept the audiences hooked. Sony Entertainment Television made its way back into the top five channels while Colors narrowed the gap with Star Plus that leads the pack. In this week, Star Plus lost 22 million viewership but managed to stay at the top spot. Zee TV had a really good week registering a gross viewership of 253 million. It was 236 million last week. Life OK was at the fourth spot.

With Ragini getting isolated from Lakshya and her family, is she looking for sympathy to get back into Lakshya’s life

It has been a testing time for the Maheshwari family and Swara and Ragini’s parents Shekhar (Sachin Tyagi) and Sumi (Parineeta Borthakur) on Swaragini. They are aghast by Ragini’s (Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar) confession and equally hurt as well. We saw how Dadi (Alka Kaushal) and Shekhar have isolated Ragini and don’t leave any opportunity to criticise her.

In the mean time, Lakshya (Namish Taneja) is distraught about not trusting Swara (Helly Shah) and wants to apologise to her. Sanskaar (Varun Kapoor) is also sad at the thought of losing Swara as the elders are thinking of divorcing them. However, with Swara refusing to leave Sanskaar, the elders will do a re-think and feel that their marriage should be given a chance. In all probability, this will happen as Swara does not want to marry Lakshya, who is dead against the thought of accepting Ragini back into his life. This will leave her nowhere and she will want to get Lakshya back in her life.

The Dussehra special episode will show Ragini using unexposed wires in an attempt to electrocute Swara. However, the plan will backfire and she will collapse. Will Swara manage to save Ragini or is it a suicide attempt from the latter’s side. The good news is Swara and Sanskaar are together. He will rush and save Swara’s life in this incident. There is a buzz that Ragini will pretend memory loss to gain Swara’s sympathy. While these are unanswered questions, most of the viewers want to see Swara with Sanskaar. The couple’s chemistry has been appreciated on the show.

The actress has tested positive for Dengue and had been feeling weak since a while. Read on to know more!

Dengue has spread like wildfire and is slowly taking over Telly land as well. First, it was Kumkum Bhagya’s Shikha Singh, who fell pray to this disease and now it’s Swaragini’s Helly Shah! The actress recently tested positive for Dengue and is now put up at a hospital. An entertainment portal reported that the actress was shooting for a melodramatic scene for her show, when got diagnosed with the disease. Helly had been feeling weak since a while and took a blood test, which showed the results as positive for Dengue.

While talking about her health, the actress said,”I was not keeping well since a while, and hence was advised to get a blood test done. The reports have confirmed positive for dengue. I shall now be going to the hospital as I am feeling too weak.”

We hope the actress recovers soon. As we all know, Helly plays the role of Swara in her hit series, Swaragini. The show was on the number one spot on the BARC charts last week and has been making waves of late.

Here’s something to look forward to…

It is a given that with every festive season, our Television shows too get in the celebratory mode. Be it Holi or Ganesh Chaturthi or Diwali or just about anything else. So why should Durga Pooja take a back seat? Especially if the story is based out in Kolkata? And so we shall see some really grand Durga Pooja celebrations on Swaragini. Reportedly the  Bose, Maheshwari and Gadodia will all come together for the big day. But what’s more interesting is that we shall see Swara aka Helly Shah and Ragini aka Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar will be seen in a major dance-off, much like Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s performance in Devdas. Reportedly, the girls will be giving a traditional Dhunachi performance and dance to an instrumental Bengali number.

Tejaswi confirmed the news to a popular daily saying that she was thrilled at learning and performing the traditional dance. She further said that it was very difficult for her to get the routine correct since this is the first time she’s doing Dhunachi. She said, “I am dancing on an instrumental Bengali number. Both I and Helly will perform on this special number. I tried Dhunachi Naach for the first time ever and realized how difficult it is to match the steps. But, I would give due credit to my choreographer, who made us learn the dance form and I am much excited about the same.”

We wonder if this would help reduce the tension between the on-screen sisters. Let’s wait and watch!

BARC gives its first ratings based on all India data

This week the Broadcast Audience Research Council released data for Week No. 41 (October 10-16). This is the first time it included data even from rural India, a first for the country. Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum emerged as the winner claiming the top spot amongst urban and rural audiences. The drama about Sooraj getting married to Lalima had the viewers hooked. As of now, the track is on whether Sooraj will leave Sandhya to marry Lalima. The emotional turbulence on the show has taken it to top spot. Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is on the second place at BARC ratings.

Sanskaar is the best for Swara is the verdict of Swaragini fans

With Lakshya (Namish Taneja) insisting on marrying Swara (Helly Shah) in Swaragini she has made a decision to continue her relationship with Sanskaar (Varun Kapoor) so that Lakshya is almost forced to accept Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar) in his life.  Last week, we conducted a poll on whether Swara should marry Sanskaar or Lakshya. It seems like the verdict of the fans has matched that of the makers.  We had 71 per cent votes in favour of the couple staying united while 22 per cent wanted to see her with Lakshya. A figure of 7 per cent wanted Swara to divorce Sanskaar to focus on her education and music career. So, there was a thumping majority of votes that wanted to see the two together onscreen.

Both are shown as free-spirited individuals on the show with a mind of their own. This is perhaps, one of the reasons why people want to see them together. So far, their friendship has had cute subtle romantic moments, which have been loved by fans. Unlike Lakshya, who had trust issues, Sanskaar is ready to fight the world for Swara and does not seem to care for his reputation in the process. Now, which girl would not fall for a man like that?  We were not surprised to see Lakshya losing out, especially after he termed Swara ‘characterless’ before knowing her truth. There are a number of fans who want to see Swara and Lakshya together but given the proceedings on Colors’ Swaragini, it does not seem to be an immediate reality. So, SwaSan fans rejoice!

Now, with Swara considering continuing her relationship with Sanskaar what is to be seen is how it affects the relationship between the brothers. Will Sanskaar be happy to support Swara though he knows that she has taken the decision under trying circumstances? Perhaps, Swara will eventually start loving Sanskar. We guess we have to wait for that.

Given that Bigg Boss is the most controversial show Indian Television has ever had, it is natural to have a load of goss from it every day; enough to keep us going for a very long time. While fights and break downs are a regular aspect of the show, there are some who steal the lime light… like Kishwer Merchantt. Her fights with the inmates, her rude criticism of every house-mate and her differences with her partner, Aman Verma have kept the girl in the news. And more recently, the actress grabbed our attention by beating Aman at a task and becoming the house captain.

When it comes to grabbing attention, another person who has been stealing the lime light is Keith Sequeira. Mainly because of the triangle between him, his lady love Rochelle Rao and his partner Mandana Karimi. And from what we hear, this situation is going to get more complicated as the makers are trying to get Keith’s ex-wife, Samyukta, to get into the house as a wild card entry. Well, things sure are going to spice up on the show.

Comebacks and launches

While we are at it, talking about shows that is, let’s not forget one of Ekta Kapoor’s biggest shows that went on air this week, Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do. The show marks Mona Singh and Iqbal Khan’s comeback to a TV soaps. The story revolves around a couple, who is perfect on the face but don’t really share a husband-wife equation with each other due to some secret the husband has. How their family helps them fall in love and come together is what takes the story ahead. And from what we’ve seen so far, it definitely looks promising.

Small screen debuts

After Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and many more, Bipasha Basu is all set to make her small screen debut with a horror series titled, Darr Sabko Lagta Hai. As is obvious from the name, it will showcase horror stories helmed by different directors. The stories will all be narrated by horror queen, Bipasha.

Illness and Injuries

After Shikha Singh who plays the role of Aaliya in Kumkum Bhagya, popular TV actress Helly Shah aka Swara from Colors’ popular show, Swaragini, has been detected with dengue. The actress had been feeling unwell and weak for a few days and got a blood test done and was then diagnosed with the disease. She’s currently hospitalized, though is much better and recovering fast.

Plots and twists

When doing a round-up of the week, there is no escaping our daily soaps and the twists they come forth with. So taking Swaragini to a sky-high TRP, the latest update on the show is that Ragini, who has been shunned by all her family, will now try to commit suicide.

On the other hand, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, which recently got done with the suicide track was said to be taking the supernatural track. However, the latest update on the show suggests that it is not Anita Hassanandani aka Shagun’s spirit that has entered Divyanka Tripathi aka Ishita’s body, the latter is actually suffering from split personality disorder.

Where suicides and split personality disorders are ruling certain tracks, there is also the big revelation of Ranveer and Milan’s truth. Milan’s outrageous behavior will eventually lead Ishaani to the truth that Milan is simply a look alike of Ranveer.

Karva Chauth drama to lead to a love triangle in between Lakshya, Sanskaar and Swara

The current track of Swaragini is focussing on Ragini’s (Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar) memory loss after she tries to electrocute herself. Sanskaar (Varun Kapoor) will save Swara (Helly Shah) who rushes to save her sister. Post this, Ragini will fake a memory loss to gain sympathy from Lakshya (Namish Taneja) and her family members. In the midst of all this, Lakshya is desperate to have Swara back in his life. However, Swara does not want to get back to him as she wants him to reunite with Ragini. In the mean time, he is coming to realise that his brother, Sanskaar is head over heels in love with Swara. This will cause friction in between the brothers. Ragini, on the other hand is feigning that she has no recollection of past few days and will start acting as normal. She will pretend to be Lakshya’s wife much to his irritation. However, he will have to give her a chance due to the insistence of his family members. On the occasion of Karva Chauth, Ragini will observe fast for Lakshya while Sanskaar will keep fast for Swara. In the evening, both the brothers will be seen staring at Swara on the terrace. When Lakshya will come to know that his brother is also in love with Swara, he will be angry and upset. Viewers will remember that a few days back he had asked Sanskaar if he was in love with her and the latter had answered him indirectly. Swara, on the other hand has been behaving very rudely with Lakshya, who has repeatedly asked for forgiveness. The coming track will focus on the love triangle between Swara, Sanskaar and Lakshya.

As per buzz, Ragini hatches elaborate plans to tarnish Swara’s image

We have seen how Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar) has hatched a elaborate plan to win back Lakshya’s (Namish Taneja) attentions. She is feigning memory loss and the Maheshwari family is forced to accept her back, including Lakshya. On the other hand, Lakshya is desperate to get back Swara (Helly Shah) into his life. In a bid to bring Swara closer to Sanskaar (Varun Kapoor), she also encourages her to keep fast for him on Karva Chauth. Sanskaar also observes fast to give company to Swara and we will see him fainting on her. This is when she will get some idea of the extent of his feelings for her. Post this, Ragini will get Swara kidnapped by a few goons while Lakshya will go to save her. They will get close and remember some beautiful moments from their past. This will irritate Ragini even more and she will click some pictures of the two to prove that Swara is out to destroy her relationship. She will plan to show them to the family. Lakshya who doesn’t believe Ragini’s memory loss drama will think she is one responsible. Swara will refute this and he will be adamant. There is some speculation that Swara might make a promise to Lakshya to get back into his life if he manages to prove her wrong. In the mean time, Sanskaar will support Swara as much as possible. Viewers will be aware that he is keeping tabs on Ragini’s movements in Swaragini.

With this gossip going around, will Sanskaar’s love for Swara remain unfulfilled

The Karva Chauth track is currently going on in Swaragini and we have seen that Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar) and Swara (Helly Shah) have kept fasts for their respective spouses, Lakshya (Namish Taneja) and Sanskaar (Varun Kapoor). Later, we will see Swara getting captured by goons and Lakshya will run to save her. He saves her and she will hug him. As per rumours, he will also kiss her on the forehead. In the mean time, Ragini will click their pictures and show them to the Maheshwari family that will be shocked. There are some reports that Sanskaar will destroy them before that. Lakshya who will come to know that Sanskaar has observed fast for Swara will be enraged and ask him if he actually loves her. He will answer in the affirmative. However, the shocker that will follow is Ragini will tell the family that she has recovered partially from memory loss and that she wants to unite Lakshya and Swara as she cannot live with her husband’s indifference and hatred anymore. Both the parties will be stunned. Swara will start packing her bags to go home while Sanskaar will be left heartbroken. He will tell Swara to give a chance for their relationship. In the midst of this, Lakshya will cut his wrists to prove his love for Swara at the instigation of Ragini, who wants to create the ultimate dilemma for her. As per earlier reports, Lakshya has told Swara that if he exposes her sister, she will have to ensure that Ragini is out of his life, which she has promised. What to do when you are caught between a stubborn ex-lover and a loyal friend who deeply loves you? Well, none other than the Prem of Bollywood. Yes, we are talking about Salman Khan, who along with co-star Sonam Kapoor will be promoting Prem Ratan Dhan Payo on the sets of Swaragini. In the coming tracks, we will see Swara exiting the Maheshwari house after intimate pictures of her and Lakshya are manipulated and leaked to the family by her conniving sister, Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar). She will be shown exiting the house while Lakshya will cut his wrists to blackmail her into accepting him back into her life. This will depress Sanskaar. In turmoil, Swara will accept Lakshya’s proposal as she had agreed to do so if he proved her wrong. Then, she will be shown running to the temple to seek divine guidance on whom to choose – Lakshya or Sanskaar? Then, she will meet Salman who will give her some tips to choose the perfect man. He will also up her mood and they will dance to the title track of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The superstar will come to the highly popular show, Sasural Simar Ka

Here is some good news for the fans of Sasural Simar Ka. Yes, Simar like a superwoman (well almost!) has been battling all kinds of natural and supernatural problems single-handedly since quite some time. Now, she will find support from no one else than the superstar himself – Salman Khan. The actor along with co-star Sonam Kapoor will make an apperance on the show to Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. He had also come on the show, Swaragini. Incidentally, both these shows are produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms.

The ladies of the show will be shown trying to help Simar (Dipika Kakkar) but they will get attacked by some goons. They will find their saviour in form of Salman Khan who will make a grand entry and rescue her and the ladies. The entire cast and crew of the show is extremely delighted to shoot with the superstar. Jyostna Chandola aka Khushi revealed to a portal that Salman was a lot of fun and teased her saying that he was only a kid.

The Abhi-Pragya love story is keeping the viewers hooked

Pragya’s (Sriti Jha) efforts to catch Tanu (Leena Jumani) is keeping the viewers hooked, who are hoping that Pragya and Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) will unite soon. This has been reflected in week 43 of the BARC ratings as the show has come up trumps. It is followed by Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Ek Se Bhale Do on Zee Anmol.

Diwali is the time to welcome Goddess Lakshmi into our lives. It is also a festival where everyone flaunts their ethnic wear with flair. And our sarees, lehengas and anarkalis are incomplete without bling. Yes, Diwali is the time for bling when we don’t think twice before donning the heavy neckpieces, chandeliers, cocktail rings and so on. On this festive occasion, take our poll and let us know which TV diva rocks her jewellery the best.

Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar aka Ragini

Though she might have been from a middle class family, Ragini never lagged behind in jewellery. From jhumkas to bangles and kangans, we always saw her loaded in Swaragini. Post her marriage in the rich Maheshwari household; she has been flaunting kundan and polki sets with elan. It might be a bit traditional but Ragini’s jewels would look great if she wore one piece at a time.

TV celebs share their plans to celebrate the Festival of Lights

Our TV celebs count themselves as blessed if they manage to get a holiday on a festive day. Diwali is no different. Those who have got a couple of days have headed home while others are celebrating in Mumbai itself. BollywoodLife spoke to a few to know their Diwali plans…

Varun Kapoor of Swaragini 
I will be going to my hometown, Ahmedabad for Diwali to be with my parents for two days. The idea is to spend some quality time with them and relax a bit. Diwali is well-spent if you are with your family. We will light up the house and do Lakshmi Puja. It will be a simple celebration. I don’t know how to play cards. So, no card parties for me. Moreover, we don’t play at home.

Pearl V Puri of Phir Bhi Na Maane…Badtameez Dil
I will be spending 3-4 days with my family in Agra. It is special because I am meeting my mom and dad after a year. I am looking forward to the home-cooked food and spending time with family and friends. We avoid crackers as they cause pollution. I don’t know how to play cards so no card parties for me.

Mouni Roy of Naagin 
I have no plans for Diwali as I am busy with my show, Naagin. I don’t have a holiday. It will just be home and sets for me this year.

Dheeraj Dhoopar of Sasural Simar Ka 
Every year, I go home to celebrate Diwali with my parents in Delhi. However, they are in Mumbai this time round. So, I am extremely happy. I am really looking forward to the Diwali lunch and sweets. This is one festival, where my dieting goes for a toss. My mom makes the sweet rice, which is a traditional in our home. We will do the Lakshmi Puja. I don’t know how to play cards but I do attend card parties for good food and company. I am a shopaholic so I buy stuff all year round.

Arjun Bijlani
I am shooting today so I won’t get to spend as much time with my family. I just hope to be in home in time for Lakshmi Puja. On Diwali, I generally hold a card party but this year I have had no time nor energy to arrange one or host one. I will go to my friends’ place. I want to be with my parents, wife and son. It is Ayaan’s first Diwali I am dying to see his reactions when he sees the diyas, lights and crackers like phuljharis and anars lighting up.

I celebrate every festival with my family. Basically, every festival is family time. My wife and I enjoy decorating our house and prepare for Laxmi Puja. Every year I gift something to my wife or buy something for my parents. I pray to the Goddess to keep us all blessed. I feel we should celebrate a noise free Diwali. The crackers not only create pollution they also disturb our peace and that of the animals too.

Divyanka Tripathi of Yeh Hain Mohabbatein 
This Diwali, I will be visiting my friends in Mumbai but I will be in Bhopal on main Lakshmi Puja day. The only Diwali ritual, which is close to my heart is visiting my Dada ji’s place where entire family gathers. Every year My Dadaji does all the Pooja and we all actually queue up to take prasad and aashirwad from him. This year too I am looking forward to do the same.

Mohit Malik
This Diwali, I am going to Delhi to spend time with my family. We play cards on Diwali night. There is a lot of socializing as well. It is basically a time for get-togethers when I am home. In Delhi, I also like to play a little with crackers but in Mumbai it’s only candles and diyas.

We are spending this Diwali with our family as usual. I especially like this festival as everyone takes time out of their busy schedule and meet family and friends to socialize. I buy silver or gold coins every year. This year I will do the same.

Karan Kundra of Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum
My parents are in Punjab and I will be home alone on Diwali. I have been shooting non-stop since a month and really needed this day off. I will rest and unwind. I also have to do some home shopping. I won’t be decorating my place but will do the Lakshmi Puja in a small way. Basically, it is about relaxation.

Harshad Chopra
I will be at home spending quality time with family. Diwali for me means sweets and more sweets. I have not shopped as such other than the new clothes that we need to wear during the Lakshmi Puja. I bought a lot of aromatic incense sticks this Diwali. I think they will last me for the whole year. I don’t know how to hold cards hence I don’t participate in card parties.

Swaragini
Prem (Salman Khan) meets Swara (Helly Shah) at a temple and asks her why she is so unhappy. Then, they dance to Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. After that, Prem and Maithili give some advice to Swara on how to find true love. When they are talking, Sanskaar (Varun Kapoor) calls and Maithili says Swara and Sanskaar sounds nice. He tells her that one must find a partner, who is a good friend first and does not force himself on you. Swara feels relaxed on getting some gyaan from Prem. Short and sweet, Prem and Maithili put forth the message of love in a non-preachy manner to Swara.

Sasural Simar Ka
It was a mini-integration episode of Swaragini and Sasural Simar Ka when Swara and Prem exit the temple, they come across women of the Bharadwaj clan who are accosted by goons. Mataji (Jayati Bhatia) is carrying the pot, which holds the key to Simar’s (Dipika Kakkar) release from Daayan Indrawati (Reshmi Ghosh). They thank Prem who tells them that people on the right path always win. Prem’s entry was a little abrupt and too short-lived to make a concrete impact. However, we are glad that he did not go into the details of the daayan track on this show!

Kumkum Bhagya
Prem is called by Dasi to the home of Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia), where everyone is gearing up for Lakshmi Puja. Tanu (Leena Jumani) and Alia (Shikha Singh) are plotting against Pragya (Sriti Jha) and complain about her to Prem. Maithili takes Pragya aside who reveals to her that Abhi does not love her anymore. She tells Pragya that love is the biggest wealth. Prem advises Abhi to come closer to Pragya and resolve their difference. Finally, they dance on Prem Leela. Hah! Prem and Maithili might just make a difference on how Abhi and Pragya’s love story proceeds from now on. Off all the shows, this stint could have a future outcome.

Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
Prem visits Gokuldham Society, which is under renovation and Sonam identifies all the residents. later, he tells Dayaben (Disha Vakhani) that he wants to eat dhokla and khandvi but they can’t prepare it as their houses are broken. Later, he says he was just kidding and distributes sweets to them. They also do the garba. Prem showed off his prankster side to the members of Gokuldham Society. It was like the normal star appearances on the show but for a longer time.

Jealous of Sanskaar’s love for Swara, Ragini plants a bomb in his car

Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar) has decided to wreak havoc in Swara’s (Helly Shah) life in the coming episodes. She will insist on them Lakshya (Namish Taneja), Swara and her to go to the farmhouse. There, she will tell Swara and Lakshya to sit in the bedroom and resolve their differences. They will be alone in the room and be shown having a long conversation. Sanskaar’s mom, Sujata (Sonica Handa) and Annapurna (Shalini Kapoor) will follow them and see this proximity between Swara and Lakshya. Sujata will be unhappy as she feels Swara is betraying Sanskaar (Varun Kapoor), who is still married to her. Even Annapurna will be highly disturbed.

We will see Sanskaar coming to the farm house, where he sees Lakshya and Swara having a friendly conversation. He will feel jealous and walk away. Later, Lakshya will agree to give a second chance to Ragini and Swara too will make a pact to return to his life if things go awry. Sanskaar, in the mean time, will decide to divorce Swara so that she can resume her relationship with Lakshya without any guilt. But Swara will be reluctant to sign the divorce papers as she does not want to return to Lakshya’s life as his wife. Moreover, she is also realizing her feelings for Sanskaar.

Ragini will be burning with hatred as she knows that Swara is loved by both Lakshya and Sanskaar while she has no one. She will plant a bomb in Sanskaar’s car in the coming episodes. Will Swara manage to save him or will he be eliminated as per Ragini’s plan?

#Diwali in TV world
Ekta Kapoor hosted her annual grand Diwali bash that was attended by Mouni Roy, Divyanka Tripathi, Anita Hasanandani, Sakshi Tanwar, Arjun Bijlani, Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava, Mona Singh, Iqbal Khan and Shabbir Ahluwalia to name a few. While Mouni, Anita and Sakshi wowed us with their sartorial quotient, Divyanka was a huge disappointment. We expected better from the diva, who always rocks her ethnic wear.

With the Festival of Lights being celebrated all over the country, most telly actors also managed to take a couple of days off. Shakti Arora tweeted that getting two days off after 71 days of working non-stop was a huge relief. Pearl V Puri, Divyanka Tripathi, Varun Kapoor, Gunjan Utreja, Radhika Madan, Shailesh Lodha, Ankit Bathla and others headed home to be with their families on this occasion.

Karan Wahi started an initiative, Spread The Smile on Diwali that urged people to spread festive cheer by distributing food and other items amongst the needy.

Vivian Dsena took the flight to Argentina to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 as a wild card entry. His wife, Vahbbiz posted a message saying how much he was missing him already.

#Entries and exits
Ashish Sharma who plays Dhaval in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya has put down his papers. The actor felt that his track was going nowhere and took the decision to bid adieu to the show.

Micckie Dudaaney is all set to enter Dream Girl – Ek Ladki Deewani Si in the role of a film director. It is a positive character.

Ayaz Ahmed who played the role of Cabir in Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan is reportedly entering the cast of Jai Santoshi Maa that will have Ratan Rajput as the lead actress. He will be paired opposite Ratan.

Shivansh Kotia who played the role of Naksh in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is joining the cast of Qubool Hai. He will play Aditi Gupta’s son on the show.

Gossip
Divyanka Tripathi refuted rumours of her dating co-actor Vivek Dahiya who plays ACP Abhishek on the show, Yeh Hain Mohabbatein. The lady said she was not one for ‘casual dating’ and would now only marry with her parents’ consent.

# Bigg Boss 9
The highlight of the week was definitely the spat between Kishwer Merchantt and Mandana Karimi during the luxury budget task. The former alleged that the Iranian beauty had kicked her. Bigg Boss 9 sent Mandana for the nominations this week.

A lot of difference cropped up in between Rochelle Maria Rao and Prince Narula. After the luxury budget task, an angry Rochelle told Prince not to touch her ever.

Suyyash revealed that Kishwer and he would get hitched in February next year while Puneet Vashishtha brought a lot of cheer when he managed to get every housemate their gifts from home. Suyyash Rai emerges as new captain of the house.

Telly tracks
It was raining Salman Khan on all the main shows on TV. He graced Swaragini, Sasural Simar Ka, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Kumkum Bhagya for Diwali special episodes.

We saw the big revelation that Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) is not possessed by Shagun’s spirit. Instead, the two ladies have joined hands to expose Raman’s killer. As of now, the focus is on Simmi in Yeh Hain Mohabbatein.

It was a big revelation for Ishaani (Radhika Madan) as Amba revealed that Ranveer has a twin brother. We saw Ranveer (Shakti Arora) planning his escape as Ishaani resolves to know the reason behind his split personality in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi.

Badi Maa (Surekha Sikri) is the villain in Gayatri (Drashti Dhami) and Ranaji (Siddhant Karnick)’s love story in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani as she uses black magic to separate them. Oh no not again!

Hot scoop
Parth Samthaan is all set to make his film debut opposite Sanah Kapoor in a comedy produced by Subhash Singh. Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak Kapur and Ratna Pathak Shah will also be a part of the project. It will be helmed by Karan Kashyap.
