It was Salman Khan who ruled the small screen this week while promoting Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. From giving Prem ki paath to Swara (Helly Shah) in Swaragini to coming to the rescue of the women of the Bharadwaj clan, he was everywhere. The other newsmakers were Kishwer Merchantt and Mandana Karimi, who had an ugly spat on Bigg Boss 9. Parth Samthaan fans can rejoice as he’s reportedly bagged his first film project opposite Sanah Kapoor. Here is a round-up of what happened…
#Diwali in TV world
Ekta Kapoor hosted her annual grand Diwali bash that was attended by Mouni Roy, Divyanka Tripathi, Anita Hasanandani, Sakshi Tanwar, Arjun Bijlani, Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava, Mona Singh, Iqbal Khan and Shabbir Ahluwalia to name a few. While Mouni, Anita and Sakshi wowed us with their sartorial quotient, Divyanka was a huge disappointment. We expected better from the diva, who always rocks her ethnic wear.
With the Festival of Lights being celebrated all over the country, most telly actors also managed to take a couple of days off. Shakti Arora tweeted that getting two days off after 71 days of working non-stop was a huge relief. Pearl V Puri, Divyanka Tripathi, Varun Kapoor, Gunjan Utreja, Radhika Madan, Shailesh Lodha, Ankit Bathla and others headed home to be with their families on this occasion.
Karan Wahi started an initiative, Spread The Smile on Diwali that urged people to spread festive cheer by distributing food and other items amongst the needy.
Vivian Dsena took the flight to Argentina to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 as a wild card entry. His wife, Vahbbiz posted a message saying how much he was missing him already.

Ashish Sharma who plays Dhaval in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya has put down his papers. The actor felt that his track was going nowhere and took the decision to bid adieu to the show.
Micckie Dudaaney is all set to enter Dream Girl – Ek Ladki Deewani Si in the role of a film director. It is a positive character.
Ayaz Ahmed who played the role of Cabir in Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan is reportedly entering the cast of Jai Santoshi Maa that will have Ratan Rajput as the lead actress. He will be paired opposite Ratan.
Shivansh Kotia who played the role of Naksh in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is joining the cast of Qubool Hai. He will play Aditi Gupta’s son on the show.

Divyanka Tripathi refuted rumours of her dating co-actor Vivek Dahiya who plays ACP Abhishek on the show, Yeh Hain Mohabbatein. The lady said she was not one for ‘casual dating’ and would now only marry with her parents’ consent.
# Bigg Boss 9
The highlight of the week was definitely the spat between Kishwer Merchantt and Mandana Karimi during the luxury budget task. The former alleged that the Iranian beauty had kicked her. Bigg Boss 9 sent Mandana for the nominations this week.
A lot of difference cropped up in between Rochelle Maria Rao and Prince Narula. After the luxury budget task, an angry Rochelle told Prince not to touch her ever.
Suyyash revealed that Kishwer and he would get hitched in February next year while Puneet Vashishtha brought a lot of cheer when he managed to get every housemate their gifts from home. Suyyash Rai emerges as new captain of the house.

It was raining Salman Khan on all the main shows on TV. He graced Swaragini, Sasural Simar Ka, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Kumkum Bhagya for Diwali special episodes.

Parth Samthaan is all set to make his film debut opposite Sanah Kapoor in a comedy produced by Subhash Singh. Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak Kapur and Ratna Pathak Shah will also be a part of the project. It will be helmed by Karan Kashyap.
